Swift Water Operations

Swift water rescue is a subset of technical rescue dealing in water conditions moving faster than 1knot. Due to the added pressure of moving water, swift water rescue operations involves the use of specially trained personnel, ropes and systems that are deidicated to shore based rescues and self rescue tactics. Instructed to NFPA 1006 and 2500.

Swift Water Rescue Technician

This course reveiws the fundamentals of technical rescue in a water borne environment. Tactics for "Go Swimmers" and water borne rescues. The course also covers all NFPA 1006 and 2500. All participants receive a personal Task Book with the latest NFPA Standards. All participants must be in good physical condition and are recomended to be able to meet the IARDS Watermanship Test.
